Neiman Marcus closes 1 of his 2 outlet stores in NJ

A Neiman Marcus Last call factory outlet at The Mills of Jersey Gardens in Elizabeth closed permanently earlier this month, a spokesperson for the mall told NJ Advance Media on Wednesday.

A Neiman Marcus dismissal notice filed with the State Department of Labor and Workforce Development has an effective date of November 27. The store closed on November 16, the mall spokesperson said.

Up to 25 employees have been affected, according to the layoff notice.

Neiman Marcus Last Call was selling designer and luxury goods at discount prices. That leaves just another Nieman Marcus Last Call outlet in New Jersey, at Bergen city center at Paramus. There are two Neiman Marcus stores, one at Short hills and one in Paramus.

Neiman Marcus recently cut jobs from his corporate team to focus on growth, according to a report from Retail diving. It is one of several retailers that recently announced their store closings, with AC Moore saying this week it will be closing all of its stores.

The Mills at Jersey Gardens is located at 651 Kapkowski Rd. At Elisabeth’s house.
