Buying school supplies can get expensive, but the people of Holt and Dimondale have come together to ease that burden.

Delhi Township Supervisor John Hayhoe said when the owner of the B2 factory outlets contacted him about their collection of school supplies, he asked local businesses to get involved.

“Suddenly, in two days, we raised over $ 750 from businesses and individuals. And they said they were going to match that in supplies, which drove the amount up to $ 1,500,” Hayhoe said.

John said the Holt and Dimondale community raised over $ 2,000, which B2 Outlet Store will match, for a total of $ 4,000.

B2 Outlet cashier Jshell Hiller said it was heartwarming to see people donating. “” Some people will just go for a walk and if they don’t find the things they want for themselves personally, they will come here in our lovely back to school station here and pick up some items and throw them there- low. “

B2 outlet stores have a giant box they use to store school supplies, which are then packaged in book bags and delivered to schools next week. Donations will be accepted throughout the month.
