GREGGS has revealed that two outlet stores will open in Glasgow by the end of the year.
The Glasgow Times previously announced the opening of an outlet in Nitshill, and Greggs has since announced a second location – Westmuir Street.
An October 28 opening date has been set for the Nitshill store, while the Parkhead store will open on December 28.
Greggs products are fresh every day, but stock that isn’t sold on the day is either donated to charity or sold at a discount in local outlet stores the next day at a discounted price.
Stock at outlets can also be excess stock, slightly warped products, or abandoned menu items.

Raymond Reynolds, Director of Real Estate and Business Development at Greggs, said, âOur outlet stores are another great way for Greggs to give back to local communities and reduce waste.
âEverything that is sold in our outlet stores is always fresh and delicious, and offers great value for money.
âA percentage of factory outlet proceeds are donated to charities, so we look forward to opening more of these stores in the coming months so that we can continue to support local communities in these uncertain times. ”
Store opening hours will be Monday to Saturday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
