Costco plans to open 21 new warehouse stores around the world

Knowing Costco is loving Costco – the food court pizza, endless free samples, and tequila from Kirkland are reasons enough to support the large retail store. We’re not the only ones who think so much, either. In reality, sales exploded like lately. So much so that the company is opening several new stores across the United States this summer alone.

According to Costco, who shared the news on their website earlier this week, five new stores are expected to debut in the coming months. Murfreesboro, Tennessee; Little Rock, Arizona; Moore, Oklahoma; Springfield, Missouri; and Naperville, Illinois, will all host the retailer in July and August. New Costco locations are also coming to Australia and Japan.

Costco’s decision to open more locations comes as countless retailers have been forced to close physical stores during the pandemic. The warehouse chain, however, has seen a major boom even in 2020. Total revenue rose 9% for August 2020 ($ 163 billion), and the numbers rose 21% in its review. quarterly results last month, Initiated reports.

Costco currently has more than 800 stores worldwide, including 559 in the United States and Puerto Rico. In total, Costco plans to add 20 new locations to its portfolio by the end of 2021.

That’s not the only good news from Costco, however. In May, the company announced plans to bring its beloved free samples back on a large scale by the end of June. Plus, the retailer is expanding its food court menu and reopening its seats so you can refuel for the arduous groceries ahead.
